LEADERSHIP

Executive Director

Tanner Harrold

Tanner has been working with KOH since its inception, and can't wait to begin this new chapter with RMA. He received his BA in Psychology from Humboldt State University, and is a certified Life Coach and Yoga Instructor. Tanner has synthesized his experience coordinating/guiding outdoor trips with his experience working in the field of mental health/addiction recovery to develop the holistic mentorship program that RMA has become.

TRAININGS

Trauma-Informed Care

Each staff member is trained with 10hrs of Trauma-Informed Care, covering basics of trauma, principles of TIC, preventative measures, behavioral management, de-escalation techniques, and more.

Informed Supervision

Informed Supervision training has been provided to all staff working with juveniles who have committed a sexual offense.

Wilderness First Responder

Every backpacking group is led by a staff who holds a current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification.

Waterfront Lifeguard

A Red Cross certified Waterfront Lifeguard is present for all water-based activities.

Steve Harrold

Steve started KOH in 2006 and has been running the day-to-day operations of the Foundation ever since.

Treasurer

Austin Grogan

Austin is a graduate of the Knights of Heroes program and has been a mentor for both the summer and winter camps since 2020. He is currently attending Texas Tech university studying accounting, with plans to graduate with a master's in accounting by 2025.

Danny Guy

Danny has been volunteering with Knights of Heroes since 2015 as a mentor. He has also been very involved with the work KOH has done with the programs we have offered the foster children since 2018.

Katie Groves

Katie's late husband, CW3 James Groves, was stationed in Afghanistan when he was killed in 2013. She has been involved with Knights of Heroes since 2016 and both of her kids are graduates of the KOH program. Katie is a big supporter of the KOH mission and is excited for the new direction Knights is headed with Rock Mountain Ascent!
